Stop; Think

My top Woody Allen films:
1. Annie Hall
2. Manhattan Murder Mystery
3. Hannah and Her Sisters
4. Bullets Over Broadway

I realized- most people that inspire me are imperfect and sometimes destructive. I always think there's a key element in someone's personal life that presses the genius button. Sometimes I wish I've stopped digging a long time ago. It's hard. I don't want to just accept a person for his or her creative success. I want to read biographies, learn what had shaped their lives, understand the work they create. Sometimes I forget why I became interested in the first place. I always end up falling in love with their faults.

Slow Show

I'm listening to The National and trying to study for my mid-term. I've been researching job posts on various sites, just to get an idea of the direction I'd like to head towards. It's all like, "Eh, don't like this, don't like that" on repeat. It's really hard for me to focus on what I want. All I know right now, is what I don't want.

I really hope I don't end up hating my life.

Martin Scorsese is planning on making a documentary on George Harrison. I know many people are probably thinking "Wow, another Beatles tribute?" But you know what? In only a few more decades, the Beatles generation will fade away and be replaced with text, memorandums, and my-grandma-once-told-me-stories. As much as I wish I could've experienced the '60's, I'm glad to know people who have lived through the psychedelic craze. I'm glad I can listen to the stories of ex-hippies & artists and enjoy the share of their memories.
